Everyone’s crazy about cocktails in Turin. After the biggest gelato in the world, with Fabbri breaking the record in Florence in May, now there is a new challenge for the Bolognese company. On 1 October, a new Guinness World Record will be made official. In Turin, in Piazza Vittorio Veneto, Fabbri 1905 will be involved in the preparation of the biggest cocktail in the world, with the judges from Guinness World Records travelling from London specially to make their record official. And what about this mega cocktail? In a glass that’s nine meters high, with a diameter of 2.80 meters, it will contain 30,000 liters of cocktail made from Fabbri strawberry fruit concentrate, which is already hugely popular with barmen. It will arrive in a massive, four-meter high bottle on a carriage pulled by special draft horses on the evening of Friday 30 September (if you’re in Turin or nearby, don’t miss this amazing event!). The event is also supporting an important message. The cocktail will be strictly alcohol free, and Nicola Fabbri, Fabbri 1905’s Managing Director says “This is a great occasion for celebration as well as an event that’s important for society. Our company has been promoting the concept of responsible drinking for many years. We are committed to offering valid alternatives to alcoholic drinks, especially for young people». As well as sending an important social message, the event will also raise funds for charity. When the record has been approved, the biggest cocktail in the world will be sold in individual glasses to the public, and all the proceeds will go to Telethon.
